A nice little feature of the PS3 was the ability to install an OS such as Linux on your PS3(older version only). As part of a firmwire update in April, the feature was removed, and gamers were not to happy about it(I was pretty bummed out as well). To make things a little worse, if you opted not to receive the update, Sony barred you from playing Playstation 3 titles and the Playstation network. Currently there are two lawsuits seeking class action against the company.
