New Final Fantasy XIII Info

FFXIII

FFXIII

A recent Famitsu interview contains information on the end product specs for Final Fantasy on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 console. The PS3 version of the game will apparently be uncompressed and ship on a single dual-layered Blu-ray disc, while the 360 alternative will feature audio and video compressed media divided across multiple discs. No specifics were given as to how many discs the 360 version will have, but we’re thinking three to four.
A separate translated Dengeki interview states that the game will not require any loading time before or after battles, and will feature an in-game “secrets” menu that will unlock items such as a FXIII XMB dashboard theme.
Final Fantasy XIII will be available on both the 360 and PS3 in North America and Europe on March 9th, 2010.

Brutal Legend – Map Pack for Xbox 360

BLMP1 Brutal Legend - Map Pack for Xbox 360

The umlauts are well-known, the game has gotten its fair share of notoriety, and even the game’s creator Tim Schafer has made an appearance on late night TV. Now, on Nov. 19, the first piece of downloadable content for Brutal Legend will be available.

The new map pack called Tears of the Hextadon for the XBox 360 is Brutal Legend metalness to the extreme. The first map titled “Circle of Tears.” has been described as: “Vile waters have carved a rough-hewn circular battlefield into a forsaken land that players must circumvent to destroy their opponent.”

The second map, “Death’s Fjord?” is “an icy mountain pass with a dense cluster of fans that lie below, waiting to be harvested by those brave enough to capture them”

Throw in a free in-game axe with the download, and a true metal legend is born. Here’s a little intro video to the game:
