A new clip of Tron: Evolution was among the many trailers that debuted at Spike TV’s 2009 Video Game Awards on Saturday. Propaganda, the studio behind the 2008 revival of the Turok franchise, is creating the game to launch during the 2010 holiday season, around the same time the movie Tron: Legacy will hit theaters.
Fans of Tron’s expanded mythology will notice that the game trailer focuses on a character with a distinctive yellow hue, which suggests that the game (and perhaps the movie it is attached to) will feature the theme of corruption introduced in Tron 2.0, an under-rated shooter developed by Monolith in 2003.

A recent Famitsu interview contains information on the end product specs for Final Fantasy on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 console. The PS3 version of the game will apparently be uncompressed and ship on a single dual-layered Blu-ray disc, while the 360 alternative will feature audio and video compressed media divided across multiple discs. No specifics were given as to how many discs the 360 version will have, but we’re thinking three to four.
A separate translated Dengeki interview states that the game will not require any loading time before or after battles, and will feature an in-game “secrets” menu that will unlock items such as a FXIII XMB dashboard theme.
Final Fantasy XIII will be available on both the 360 and PS3 in North America and Europe on March 9th, 2010.
